Junior Kyu Grade System
To progress from a solid colour belt to the next half-colour belt, the student needs to learn one half
(½) of the elements required for next full level (solid colour belt).
For example, to move from 11 th kyu (white) to 10 th kyu (half
white/half yellow) the judoka must learn half of the elements under 11
th kyu.
